Lucy's FIRST Birthday Party!

Don't you feel like time begins to really really really fly after a baby turns ONE?

Ok. Well that's already happening here seeing that I am JUST now getting to my sweet baby's birthday post!

Lucy's BIG one fell on a Saturday this year which was great because Mimi and Mimzy could both celebrate with her on her special day!  We had a small group of family and close friends to celebrate her day with us!  A mermaid themed brunch!

Most of my friends know…I really love planning kids parties.  I love themes!  It's the teacher in me I suppose ;-)

So here we go with a few detail photos!

HAPPY HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY SWEET LUCY GOOSE!

Dear Lucy,

Wow.  I really don't know where your first year went.  You are truly a blessing to our family and is that final little piece that made this crazy family complete!  Your sparkly eyes light up the room and your chuckle brings laughter to everyone around you!  You are ALL OVER THE PLACE and INTO EVERYTHING!  You have become so independent - and literally make people completely hysterical seeing such a tiny little thing walking around all over doing  her own thing!  BUT, even with this independence are still so much more snuggly than either your brother or sister! You love toys, playing outside, and absolutely anything you can carry around - shopping bags, purses, little dolls.  You aren't really too into TV because you are just too too busy!  Your favorite foods are yogurt and bananas - you just can't get enough!  You are quite the little chatterbox too!  Always singing, yelling, whispering, mumbling - always talking!  A few of your favorite words are Mama, Dado, Stop, THIS, down, up, nana (banana), dog.  If you aren't walking around, climbing stairs or getting into mischief you are DANCING!  You absolutely love your new gymnastics class and trying out all the skills of the week.  You love the park but no longer love to swing.  You are just now really really sleeping through the night - which is so great for mommy but also a sad reminder that you are no longer a baby.  But sorry sweet Lucy - you may be a big girl now, but you will ALWAYS be my BABY!  I know you are growing up but I just want you to stay little!!!!  You love trying everything your brother or sister are doing and they love playing with you too!  You are such a gift to this little family of ours and it's been so much fun this last year watching you grow!  Happy first birthday Lucy - Love you so much!

PS - First birthday photos coming soon (I hope. LOL) My photography business is keeping my evenings full right now and for Lucy's photos - I just want that perfect light!

Princess Riley Ann Tigerlily

I have been wanting to do this post for a week now, but finally getting up the strength and courage to do it.  Things just haven't been the same around the Lindberg house this last week due to losing our sweet sweet sweet Poopy girl.

Last Monday, we had to put our first fur baby to rest from a brain tumor.  Her seizures started about two years ago and Christian and I did everything we could to treat her and make her comfortable.  We had so much more time than we thought we were going to get, but as most dog owners know…it's never enough and you're NEVER ready to say goodbye to such a dear family member.  We really struggled with what to do and when.  Though through this entire health journey with her, always said we didn't want her to be in pain OR suffer.  Unfortunately we were at the pain stage, so the vet said it was time.

Riley was the BEST.  I don't even really know how else to say it.  She was literally the best dog we could have ever wanted.  Always under foot, cuddly, and ready to play.  She loved absolutely EVERYONE and everyone loved her.  The kids absolutely adored her and loved playing fetch, feeding her treats, and crawling all over her.

I have so many dear memories with sweet Riley.  Christian had her before we even met!  I remember meeting him for the first time and all he could talk about was his "baby" :-)  He actually held my hand for the first time while we took her for a walk!  We used to take her every with us - even to visit Santa one year.  We used to spend hours watching her run all around this dog park back in Texas, and we like to imagine puppy Heaven is kind of like that.  So many memories with her before us even getting engaged, married, and having children.  It's still hard to imagine life for Christian and I is moving on without her.  I know she had a wonderful life and is now in a more peaceful place, but I am feeling completely selfish and just want her back here.  I miss the clanking of her toe nail on the tile, how she follows me everywhere, her big brown eyes begging me for table food, her wine at the back door, her wiggly butt when I come home, seeing her curled her next to the couch, her soft ears and tiny feet, her smelly breath and wet kisses…I MISS EVERYTHING.

I know things around here will get better and that we will all be able to look back and tell stories without tears one day, but right now it just still hurts.  We do though feel so fortunate to have such an outpouring of love and support from family and friends during this rough week.

Rest in peace Princess Riley Ann Tigerlily.  You will always be loved and NEVER NEVER forgotten.  LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU Poops.

Halloween 2013

Just a little behind on BLOGGING!  But here is our Halloween 2013 FUN!

My little Lucy was an adorable little poodle!

I wanted that poodle costume when I had Ainsley and FINALLY got it with my last little baby girl!

Sweet and Sassy Ainsley was WONDER WOMAN!  Quite perfect, really.

Daddy…the wolverine!

My and sweet little boy…who will not pose solo in photos right now…IRONMAN!  With his little neighborhood bestie, Braedon!

LOVE Evan's action shots...

We were a neighborhood of SUPERS!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo…LOOK at the girls check him out!

After lots of photos, pizza, and treats…we all headed out together for some trick or treating fun!  Our neighborhood is pretty small and gated (so we didn't any trick or treaters other than our neighborhood friends) but everyone was so festive and participated!  The kids had a blast and got more than enough candy and SO exhausted!

Saturday, Christian and I headed to an adult party where we were Wolverine and Captain America.

Halloween 2013 - was SUPER fun. ;-)
