Fun-Filled Thanksgiving weekend!

On Thursday morning...everyone was feeling great so we loaded up and headed to PHX to spend Thanksgiving at my mom's house!  We had a great day filled with yummy food, lots of playing, FOOTBALL, and laughter!  I even snuck away for a few hours and did some Black Friday shopping with some friends!

I am so thankful and blessed to have this little family and So thankful for a loving husband who I feel I grow closer to everyday!

Lucy got to meet her Great Grandparents!

Friday night, Evan and I headed to the FRESH BEAT BAND CONCERT with Jackie, Kaylee, Brookie, Keith, and Jackies Mom, Bonnie!  We had been looking forward to this for MONTHS and so excited we were all able to go!

Here he is in the car all glowed out-JUST LIKE A ROCKSTAR ;)

Everyone all glowed out! :)

Red Carpet time!  LOL

 A little blurry!

We had great seats too...Jackie you picked good ones :)

Getting a little crazy after in their new shirts!!!!

We had so much fun rocking out at the concert!  The kids were SOOOO wound up in the car (guess they had Loco Legs)...never heard so many "knock knock" jokes in my life!  LOL.  Thank you Keith for driving, Bonnie for the snacks, and Jackie for organizing such a fun night out for us!  Loved getting to spend some time alone with Evan and friends!

Saturday started bright and early with Lucy's newborn pics...I uploaded a few below from Adriane's blog.  Seriously PHX or even Tucson friends willing to drive...if you need pics...she is your girl!!!!  I didn't post the ones that will be on the xmas card or birth announcement, but figured I will probably use those to spruce up my header on the top :)

Saturday night, we headed up to Fountain Hills to see my Mom and Todd's new house!  It is so pretty out there!  And they will have plenty of room for all of us when we go to visit!  We had dinner at a cute little restuarant overlooking the fountain!  Ainsley was OBSESSED with the fountain!

Monday was my first day solo!  AH!  While Lucy took a nap, we sat down and did our Santa letters

We also spent some time outside playing "soccer team".  Evan is going to play soccer in January :)

And...Lucy enjoying a twizzler...HAHA Not really.  Twizzlers...all kinds...are Christian and I's FAVORITE!

And just had to post a phone snapshot of Evan's sweet little preschool picture :)

And here are the pics from Saturday I promised above :)

If you want to see more...visit her on fb or on her blog at www.artfamilyphotography.blogspot.com .  I just love her work.

Looking forward to my favorite things party tonight and Ainsley's birthday party on Saturday!!!

LOTS of catch up!

TWO WEEKS?!  I haven't posted in TWO WEEKS?!  Well...LOTS has been happening here!

Life is CRAZY right now and I seriously haven't had a FREE second to blog.  The free seconds I do have...I shower, eat, get dressed, and have gotten a few naps in.  I will try to be better about blogging though and I know once we get into some sort of routine, I will be able to work in posts.

But, life is going to be hectic for a while.  That's for sure!

SO since it has been two weeks...I am going to post some pics from the last few weeks.

Ainsley and I being goofy...

Sweet big bro!

BIG DADDY came to Tucson to visit, actually two weeks ago today...

My Love

We had so much fun having Mimi and Big Daddy here together!  Did lots of relaxing, visiting, and spending time together!  I can't believe they have been gone over a week already!  THANK YOU Mimi and Big Daddy for a wonderful visit!

One day when they were here they went to the Biosphere and took Evan!  He had such a great time!

Just a few snapshots of my little Lucy!  Have more I need to put up too but they were on a different memory card.  Big Daddy has some pretty cool lenses for his camera so I had fun playing with those while he was here!

And the kids went to a birthday party last weekend for Parker...Ainsley's boyfriend :)  LOL

And Miss Thing can jump really good with TWO feet and LOVES the trampoline!  I can't believe her 2nd birthday party is next weekend!!!!!  Where does time go?

We have been playing LOTS of dress up with all the fun after Halloween stuff Mimi found for us!

Ainsley is ALL about babies right now!  BABY EVERYTHING!  And the other night...Christian walked in on her nursing her baby LOL.  Such a little mommy!

Last Tuesday, Christian had a late work dinner so it was my first evening SOLO with the kids!  The evening went so well and I was like "OK...I can do this!".  THEN, he gets home, and while I was changing Lucy's clothes we discover a rash covering her entire torso!  We read online it could be heat rash, especially since it was on her torso, so striped her down to cool her down.  But after no improvements and realizing she had a fever...I took her right into the ER.

I WAS TERRIFIED and FRANTIC!  I could barely drive, I was shaking so bad.  Everything I read online said fever and rash in a newborn is never good.  I walked into the ER...and right when they saw me and asked her symptoms, took us back right away.  The did all sorts of tests...urine, blood, a spinal tap, and xrays.  Its called a septic work up and it tests for EVERYTHING. I couldn't believe all the tests, but (I actually never told Christian this) they said newborns can go from fever and seeming OK...to fever and fighting for their life in a matter or 20 minutes.  NO wonder I was bawling most of the time!  It was hard being there by myself but I know it was also extremely hard for Christian to be at home too.  At 2am...I called my mom because we were receiving medical transport to Diamond Children's.  She jumped in the car and got here as quick as she could.  Since she is so young, they couldn't wait for all the tests to come back so they treated her for all bacterial infections.  They were most concerned it was meningitis.  With her being a vaginal delivery and a QUICK one at that...when there is something...that is what it tends to be.  By time we got to our room, got Lucy hooked up to antibiotics and monitors, talked to SEVERAL doctors, and answered an INSANE amount of personal questions...it was 7 am...we had all officially been awake 24 hours.  Lucy was exhausted and slept for a few hours, so Christian and I did too.

UGH...I felt SO bad for her.  Wednesday was def a rough day.  Though in the middle of the night...her fever broke!

By Thursday morning, she definitely seemed to feel better!  And was fever free.  The rash began to clear up and her color came back.  Most of the doctors at this point were pretty convinced it was a virus.

Friday morning, everything came back negative and we were discharged!  So thankful for all the wonderful doctors and nurses at UMC/Diamonds!  AND thank you to all our family and friends who called, texted, messaged, wrote nice fb comments for all your support.  THANK YOU to all our sweet friends who offered to take care of Evan and Ainsley!!!  We are truly blessed to have such a great support system!   Last week was the WORST week of our lives and SO SCARY...your support and encouragement really helped us get through it!  Thank you to my mom and MJ for rushing down here and taking over with Evan and Ainsley!  So glad Tucson is only 2 hours away from PHX!

We got home Friday afternoon and had a super lazy weekend!  We needed it.  Poor Ainsley had a cold but we stayed in and she seemed ok.  Monday morning Evan woke up throwing up and so it got pretty crazy here for a few days...including my mom extending her stay TWO days.  She just left a few hours ago.  I took Lucy for a follow up Monday morning and when I said Evan had a stomach virus...the doctor was concerned about Lucy being exposed.  Any fever and we would have to be re-admitted!  So...Lucy and I spent most of Monday in my room away from everything.  Thank goodness my mom was here but I feel pretty terrible that she spent most of her day either covered in or cleaning up throw up :(  So thankful she was here!

Yesterday and today have been good healthy days around here and we are planning on heading up to PHX tomorrow morning for some Thanksgiving fun, Fresh Beat Band concert, and Lucy's pictures!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
