R is for Random and REALLY?!

Ok so figured I would start this VERY random post off with a few pics of my little hula girl!

I am so glad I was able to get this ONE happy pic...

because honestly...there were WAY more of these...

Pretty Typical. LOL

Ok, so lately Evan doesnt go anywhere without sunglasses!  Well after taking this very cute pic of him...SOMEBODY who shall remain unnamed but I am SURE readers can guess...snapped them in half!

So, it was promised that we would go to Target and let Evan pick out a new pair!

And here is what he picked!  FIRE ENGINE RED wayfarer-like shades!

He was then pretty happy!

Alright so our weekend started out pretty well!  Saturday afternoon I even went to the store, got Chris and I are favorite icecream and a chick flick (it was my turn to pick) and was pretty excited about our Saturday night.  Well...when I got home...I noticed a little heat wave!

Yep.  The AC STOPPED working.  Actually it worked...but just blew hot air.  REALLY????!!!!!!!!

Well, it couldnt get fixed Saturday night (REALLY?!) and...being pregnant and already HOT and with the two kids...we knew we couldn't stay the night.  So I called the hotel just about a mile down the road and we headed there for the night.    I felt so frazzled throwing the kids and us a bag together but once we got there...things calmed down a bit.

Evan begged to go for a night swim!  So Daddy took him.

They had a blast swimming!

After that...the kids had some fun in the room!  LOL.  Evan was thrilled he got his own bed.  Yet, slept with my on the king and Ainsley with Daddy on the pull out!  She wanted nothing to do with the pack-n-play

The next morning Christian ran to let out the dogs and get some breakfast for the kids before swim time!  Evan pointing at the kids pool.  It was dark before when we arrived so we couldnt see the entire pool area.

Arizona has some great resorts!  I know quite a few people who do stay-cations every year either in Tucson or Phoenix.  We spent the night at the Hilton El Conquistador.

So, after we had breakfast, our AC still wasnt fixed and hadnt received a call to set it up...we decided to enjoy ourselves a bit :)

Kiddie pool!  Yay for kiddie pools!  Evan had a blast because he could swim all around it himself.  He was going under and kicking around like crazy fetching his goggles...and loved that he could stand up when he was done.  I have a video I will post.  He is such a fish.

Ainsley liked the splash pad!

View and slide pool

Then we headed over to the main pool!  I think Evan jumped in like a hundred times.

We headed back later that afternoon to a very HOT house but it was fixed shortly after.  An unexpected Saturday night for sure.

And ladies and gentlemen...I think we have found it!!!!!  AAAAAAAAAAAMAZING pizza here in Oro Valley!  We have tried SO many different places and it just wasnt cutting it!  Those local reading...it is from Amarisi.  It is a family owned Italian restuarant that actually also does pizza.  They are from Long Island and know what they are doing!!!!!!  SOOOOOOOO yummy!  I actually have the last piece in the fridge and my mouth is watering as I write this!  Yep, only 1 piece of an 18 inch pizza left after we were done!  CRAZY!  My kids are pizza monsters! HAHA

 And let the random continue!

So, I had to take a picture for Daddy and Mims so they could see Ainsley SITTING in a shopping cart.  Guess the milk and cookie were a hit!

Last night the Olympic Trials coverage began on NBC Sports!  Tune in!  Evan LOVED watching "swim racers" and even asked to watch first thing this morning.  Christian has quite a few of his old swimmers there this week-I would begin to name but would feel TERRIBLE leaving someone out-and even one of our groomsman, Brendan, is top seed going into finals tonight!  WOOHOO!

So our DVR is set and we will be spending our evenings watching every second of coverage!

This morning we headed over to our friends house to play!  Here is Ainsley with her little friend Addie!  Addie is a little older than Ainsley and just so precious!

I think Ainsley may topple her over!

This will probably be the last time I post until we get back from vacation!  I hope you all enjoy your 4th of July!

Oh to be 18 months old!

18 months!  A year and a half!  547.5 days have gone way to fast :)

AND we have enjoyed every single SECOND of it!

Yesterday, Ainsley was 18 months, so I thought I would try and snap some pretty pics of her.  Well...as most of you know who have been moms to a year a half old...things dont always go as planned!

Here she is not cooperating!

Pointing to the front door because she wanted to go inside!

Well...guess she wanted things on her terms because she did better in her room sitting in her rocker!

Oh our sweet girl!

Don't have any of her stats weight/height wise yet so decided a few things about this special little lady :)

-Starting to get pretty talkative!  Will say...more, please, thank you, drink, water, cookie, boo boo, owie, duck, doggy, baby, bubba, mom, daddy, eats, paci, go, down, done, jump, uh oh, "I wet", poo-poo, bow, hair, pretty, yes, no, don't, stop it, "ARRRRR" like a pirate (brother's influence)...thats all I can think of rigtht now :)  And will put a few words together.

-Can do quite a few animal sounds-Elephant is her favorite to do but I think Dogs are her favorite animal

-Loves to sing!  Attempts Happy Birthday...and when you get to the "To....." part...always says Daddy :)

-Enjoys coloring in coloring books and on the magna doodle

-Dances ALL THE TIME!

-Still loves her paci

-Wants nothing to do with a stroller or shopping cart

-You may notice she wears rompers pretty often...that is because she will not leave her diaper on!  And since she can take her shorts off...this helps with messes! haha.  Other have moms have told me she is ready for the potty...but is it bad that I am not ready to go there yet?!

-Not into TV at all...but does love Baby Einstein.  She is such a little busy body.

-Wants to play outside all the time

-Some of her favorite foods:  ALL fruits, will always try any vegetable and any new food, does NOT like meat pretty much of any kind, loves yogurt, mac n cheese (pasta of any kind for that matter), cheese crackers of any kind, soft pretzels, apple sauce, she is a mandarin organge monster, pizza, FIG NEWTONS (oh my kids and the fig newtons!), pretty much anything snick-snacky! :)

-SUPER fun personality!  EXTREMELY indepedent (has to try everything herself), can still be pretty shy/sassy to strangers, still loves to cuddle and be held, plays with her brother all the time :)

Ainsley...you are just so much fun!  So full of life and spunk!  We just love you so so so much!!!!!!

On another note: We have a few names we are deciding between.  Evan and Ainsley each like a different one!  How will we ever choose?! haha

LET THE VACATION COUNTDOWN BEGIN!!!! 8 MORE DAYS UNTIL PARADISE!!!!!

PS...Yes, the blog has gone through a little facelift...actually accidently messed it up the other day and just decided to simplify it a bit!  THANK YOU SALLIE SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

We LOVE you Daddy!!!!

This weekend was all about Daddy!!!  We had a great weekend together as a family!!!

We started off Saturday morning going to a makeup at Ainsley's My Gym class.  Christian has seen one of Evan's classes but never gotten to do class with Ainsley.  I was with them some of the time but really enjoyed being able to sit and watch too!

On the big bar...still her favorite!

She was in the fort playing peek a boo with Daddy!

Climbed to the top of the ladder!  Teachers were suprised...but not us...she climbs on EVERYTHING!

And the zip line!

Heading up...

And Down!

After class, headed next door to Trader Joe's for some goodies...

Many fights followed concerning the basket!  OF COURSE!

After that we sent Daddy out for some Man-Pampering! LOL

OK...before the pics...THIS IS MY DEAL OF THE YEAR!  SO, I got this Disney princess piano on clearance at Target with a coupon for $20!!!!!!!!!  So, my intention was that we were going to give it to Ainsley for her birthday but I guess I didnt communicate that with Christian because he started putting it together while I was out!!!

The kids were BOTH very excited about it!

Ainsley is not an easy one to entertain and she plays with it constantly!

That night I made one of Christian's favorites, got his favorite icecream, and agreed to watch an action movie! LOL  AND we had thunderstorms most of the day!  Tucson has now moved into the "monsoon summer" season!  WOOHOO!  Guess if we had a pool...I probably wouldn't be excited about it! haha

Father's Day morning Evan was so excited to give Daddy his special card and presents followed by a "Are you going to share that with Mommy?"  LOL.  Got this idea on pinterest!

And a few special gifts for the guy who does so much for us!

They both just love their Daddy!  Saw a quote online:

"Daddy - a son's first hero and a daughter's first love"

Sweet.

This hot lather machine is so cool!  I want it for shaving my legs!  LOL

And she was posing so I snapped a few pics!  If she sees  a camera...will just stand there and say "CHEESE" even if it isnt pointed at her!

And after dinner at one Daddy's favorite places...we decided it was time....

To say goodbye...

To Evan's long hair!!!!  The actual cut was kind of torture but the popsicle then watching a movie on my phone helped a little!  I had intended to take him to a place to get it done but the one's by our house didn't have the set up Evan was looking for LOL "No mom, like the one Mimi takes me too!  With race cars and movies!"  SOOOOOO...Mr. Picky got Mom and Dad (yes it took both of us).  HAHA!  It was SO long!

And a few from the kids racing their cars this morning!  Isn't Evan so sweet to play with his baby push truck just to make his sister happy?!  I really lucked out with the best big brother two little sisters could ever ask for :)

Ainsley in the lead! ( I think he was letting her win haha)

I thought I would miss those wavy locks but really love the short hair!

Such a great family weekend together!!!!  Hope everyone enjoyed time with their father or their hubbies too!
