Back in the swing of things!

The first two weeks of school are about to come to a end and we are back in the swing of things!  Running errands, playing with friends, getting lots  of things down around the house, and having fun!

Evan is ABSOLUTELY loving his new school and I just can't say enough nice things about it!  He is always so sad when I pick him up because he doesn't want to leave!

And while he is away for the morning...the week seems to FLY because us girls are so busy!  Mondays Ainsley goes and does preschool with Tiffany and Sophia...some Wednesdays are playgroup (though I haven't made it to one yet! AH!)  and Friday morning Sophia comes to play with us!

The girls are having lots of fun on their mornings together!  They get along so well...even with a few girl fights ;-)

And twice a week, we take Evan to swim!

SOOOO much fun for Ains. haha. NOT.  You have to be 4 to swim but I soooo wish they would take her early!  Yeah, not happening.

More fun with friends :)

This picture cracks me up...Ainsley tried so hard to get the boys attention!  Hmmm...I am thinking the "Barbie" wasn't the right tactic.

And with it not being SO scorching we have been trying to play outside as much as possible!

And with football season in full swing...so have our game watching parties!  ;-) It was half time so the dad's took them out to have some sprinkler fun!

Lucy is obsessed with rocks!

Seriously, my girls have the best big brother!!!!  They both just LOVE him so much!

Blurry...but I am sure you can understand why :)

Now Lucy can cruise the house like a big girl!!!!

How cute is this?!  Somebody is REALLY ready for the first Tech Game Saturday!

And another fun thing...
Ainsley got her first pedicure!

And a few pics of Ains and Sophia on Sunday...checking out some cactuses...

Yep...she touched it!

Sweet.

We have been so busy with the beginning of the school year!  We are loving every minute of our crazy routine!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!!!!

Fall is almost here!!!!

The Last and a First!

This week we celebrated the LAST day of summer and the FIRST day of Pre-K!

Tuesday, was all Evan's pick!

He picked a pool day...of course.

Lucy enjoyed the splash pad!

And our neighbors Tiffany and Sophie joined us!  (Not sure I could have gone swimming with all 3 without her!!!!)

Crazy kids!  They had so much fun!

And after the pool...Evan said "we should go to lunch at a restaurant"...Which one do you think he picked?!  McDonalds, of course!

These two are so funny...

And after a crazy monsoon afternoon and cancelled swim practice...we settled for hotdogs for dinner (his choice) and a movie night before reading some books about the big day!

And Wednesday...he had his first day!

Had to snap a few pics of my handsome boy!

And Ainsley wanted to jump in a few!  Daddy surprised us and came home, so Evan wanted to sit in his truck!

Evan is seriously SOOOO sweet and loving...he does these things completely unprompted!

After pics...we were off for the big day!

Isn't this cute...

No Boo-Hoos for us though!  Evan LOVES school...and seeing him so excited...I was OK too!

He had such a great day and loves his new school!!!!

Trying new things!

Trying new things.

HMMMMM.

Lately, this has been something that I feel like Christian and I are ALWAYS saying in our house!  Whether its foods, books, activities, friends, a new school...we are encouraging them to try something new!

Let's start with "The Ains" (this is what she will say her name is)
I actually had her registered at the same school Evan will be attending but after some talks with her (she was terrified) decided to keep her home another year.  The timing was perfect because one of my super amazing neighbors (we seriously have the best neighbors) is an old teacher and does a whole preschool program with her little girl Sophie and invited Ainsley to join!
We did a trial day a few weeks ago to see how it would work and it was FANTASTIC!
Ainsley LOVED LOVED LOVED it!
So Monday, she had her first day!

Arent they sweet?

She was so excited!

AWWWWWWW.

Here's some pics Tiff sent me!

So. Much. Fun.

Friday mornings, Sophie will be coming to our house for some fun too!
Last week, she found this super cool bug...check out Ainsley's face.  haha.

And next...BOTH girls trying new things TOGETHER.

Lucy doesn't think she is a baby anymore-she wants all things BIG GIRL.  And wants to be just like her BIG SIS.  Wants all her toys and things

Ainsley has also been doing so much better at being gentle when playing with Lucy!

And on to just Lucy!

She has tried and LOVED the wagon!

Lots of new foods...

And now can do pouches by herself!  WOOHOO!

PS-What is this face?

Even tried not having naps...hahaha-NOT too successful.

She wants to crawl around all by herself and play outside with the big kids!

Doesnt she get skinned knees?!
OK-SIDEBAR from new things and I know its Lucy picture overload BUT...I have SO less pics of her than I do of the other two!  So sometimes, I have to let her steal the show :)

She LOVES having her pic taken

And even though she is trying to crawl, pull, cruise, and walk...she does still love a good snuggle!

AND Mr. Evan!

He is turning into a total big kid-and most of his friends being older than him is making him want to try and do all sorts of new things!

SOOO we havent tried yet...BUT he said his ready for NO training wheels!  EEEEEK.  Am I ready?  He wants too learn to roller blade.  He's swimming independently and getting better with each practice!  Christian said last night they did freestyle most of the time.  Not sure why I dont have more pics of him swimming BUT I do have his two sisters on the pool deck! haha.

Honestly, Evan is always up for trying new things!  EXCEPT foods.  This is where we still struggle...BUT he is getting better!  :)

Today we had meet the teacher for his new school. I LOOOOOOOOVED his school from last year but when we moved into our new house...it's just too far.  It would take me half and hour somedays and with the back and forth and the girls schedules-it was just too much.  Breaks my heart but he was so happy today and already loves his two new teachers!  We have known quite a few families who have attended or are attending this school and love it! And I think being closer to home is going to have some great perks too for playdates, etc.

His teacher gave him this countdown to the first day today...cute idea.

And I will leave you with Evan in his new secret hide out!  He's pretty much moved in there-LOL.  Has his music, flashlight, leap pad, books, and even asked for some snacks.  He told me he actually tried to sleep down there a few nights ago but the floor was too hard!  HAHA.

Can you believe summer is almost over and fall is around the corner?!

Apologies to the grandmas who will notice there is substantially less pictures of Evan than of the girls-BUT he is in a NO PICTURE phase.  I need to pull him out of it!
