Ok so figured I would start this VERY random post off with a few pics of my little hula girl!
I am so glad I was able to get this ONE happy pic...
because honestly...there were WAY more of these...
Pretty Typical. LOL
Ok, so lately Evan doesnt go anywhere without sunglasses! Well after taking this very cute pic of him...SOMEBODY who shall remain unnamed but I am SURE readers can guess...snapped them in half!
So, it was promised that we would go to Target and let Evan pick out a new pair!
And here is what he picked! FIRE ENGINE RED wayfarer-like shades!
He was then pretty happy!
Alright so our weekend started out pretty well! Saturday afternoon I even went to the store, got Chris and I are favorite icecream and a chick flick (it was my turn to pick) and was pretty excited about our Saturday night. Well...when I got home...I noticed a little heat wave!
Yep. The AC STOPPED working. Actually it worked...but just blew hot air. REALLY????!!!!!!!!
Well, it couldnt get fixed Saturday night (REALLY?!) and...being pregnant and already HOT and with the two kids...we knew we couldn't stay the night. So I called the hotel just about a mile down the road and we headed there for the night. I felt so frazzled throwing the kids and us a bag together but once we got there...things calmed down a bit.
Evan begged to go for a night swim! So Daddy took him.
They had a blast swimming!
After that...the kids had some fun in the room! LOL. Evan was thrilled he got his own bed. Yet, slept with my on the king and Ainsley with Daddy on the pull out! She wanted nothing to do with the pack-n-play
The next morning Christian ran to let out the dogs and get some breakfast for the kids before swim time! Evan pointing at the kids pool. It was dark before when we arrived so we couldnt see the entire pool area.
Arizona has some great resorts! I know quite a few people who do stay-cations every year either in Tucson or Phoenix. We spent the night at the Hilton El Conquistador.
So, after we had breakfast, our AC still wasnt fixed and hadnt received a call to set it up...we decided to enjoy ourselves a bit :)
Kiddie pool! Yay for kiddie pools! Evan had a blast because he could swim all around it himself. He was going under and kicking around like crazy fetching his goggles...and loved that he could stand up when he was done. I have a video I will post. He is such a fish.
Ainsley liked the splash pad!
View and slide pool
Then we headed over to the main pool! I think Evan jumped in like a hundred times.
We headed back later that afternoon to a very HOT house but it was fixed shortly after. An unexpected Saturday night for sure.
And ladies and gentlemen...I think we have found it!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAMAZING pizza here in Oro Valley! We have tried SO many different places and it just wasnt cutting it! Those local reading...it is from Amarisi. It is a family owned Italian restuarant that actually also does pizza. They are from Long Island and know what they are doing!!!!!! SOOOOOOOO yummy! I actually have the last piece in the fridge and my mouth is watering as I write this! Yep, only 1 piece of an 18 inch pizza left after we were done! CRAZY! My kids are pizza monsters! HAHA
And let the random continue!
So, I had to take a picture for Daddy and Mims so they could see Ainsley SITTING in a shopping cart. Guess the milk and cookie were a hit!
Last night the Olympic Trials coverage began on NBC Sports! Tune in! Evan LOVED watching "swim racers" and even asked to watch first thing this morning. Christian has quite a few of his old swimmers there this week-I would begin to name but would feel TERRIBLE leaving someone out-and even one of our groomsman, Brendan, is top seed going into finals tonight! WOOHOO!
So our DVR is set and we will be spending our evenings watching every second of coverage!
This morning we headed over to our friends house to play! Here is Ainsley with her little friend Addie! Addie is a little older than Ainsley and just so precious!
I think Ainsley may topple her over!
This will probably be the last time I post until we get back from vacation! I hope you all enjoy your 4th of July!
