5 months old! Big girl!

Today, Lucy is 5 months old! 

Oh where does time go?  Lucy is definetly phasing out of being a newbie and into the world of fun infant stuff!!!!  Well...I guess EXCEPT sleeping through the night! haha!  Come on Lucy...just ONE night...pleaseeeeee?!  I know its short lived...but getting up sometimes 4 times a night is EXHAUSTING for this mama and daddy! 

Lucy, like I said...is turning into a total big girl  :)  LOVES playing with toys (anything that lights up, shakes, or crinkles), trys to crawl, rolls everywhere, giggles, coos, pulls hair :), grabs all sorts of stuff, SUCH A SNUGGLER, loves to be outside, and watches EVERYTHING her big bro and sis do!  And her new thing...cracks up anytime they do something crazy...which half the time is something naughty...so it is impossible to get them to stop!  Which is kind of funny...

She is so friendly and happpy all the time!!!!  LOVES people to talk to her, hold her, play with her...so going out in public is alot of fun because she has such a great time!  We took her to a party the other night and she was passed around like crazy and had a ball!  I can also tell she is getting older because she doesnt always fall asleep in the car anymore!  Seems like this stopped so much faster this time around...but...the car is not really a quiet place-haha! 

She is napping 1-2 times a day depending on our schedule and how much activity is going on around here...

Has a number of nicknames-Lucy Goose, Lu-Lu, Luce, and Evan calls her Boo-Boo

We have started cereal...she wasnt so sure at the beginning but is liking it more now.  This weekend I plan to whip her up some yummy veggies!  We have also given her rice rusks and they are a hit!  With Ainsley too...haha-

EGG-citing day!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Today was a very EGG-citing day full of family, food, and FUN!

 

It started BRIGHT and early...Easter Bunny left a little trail that led to the kids baskets...

After looking through their baskets...the kids noticed lots of colorful eggs outside!!!!

They had so much fun!  Notice Evan only has boy colors?  Cutie thought he was supposed to only grab certain colors.  haha

 

This egg was hidden where Christian was sitting with Lucy and she reached for it...her one little pink egg...

Then the kids opened their baskets from their Mimi and Big Daddy!  Check out these awesome masks...and isnt Lucy super cool is in shades?!

Then, after the fam showed up and after a small (or what seemed pretty big to me) Lucy Easter dress CATASTROPHE and a trip to Walmart (thank goodness some place was open at 9am)...we were ready for some pics...Daddy did a good job picking a super cute dress for Lucy to wear for her first Easter!

We all had such a great time hanging out outside, playing, watching basketball, and being together!

Mims brought some Easter treats for the kids including a fun sprinkler for the yard!  And we had a blast in our bounce house!  Poor Ainsley...no suit that fits!  haha.

After the family headed back to Phoenix, we had some nice LAZY time!  Much needed!  Thanks mom, todd, MJ, and Britt for coming down.  It was so much fun having you all here and hosting my first holiday in our home!!!!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

Thursday morning, Addy came over to hang out with us girls while Evan was at school and Kendra chaperoned a field trip.  The girls had a great time and I just LOVE these pics of them!

Seeing them run all around the backyard made me so happy!  They had a blast and that was our goal when designing our yard...lots of kid play areas-a place where the kids could have their friends over and have a great time!

Let the Easter Fun begin!

Yesterday, the Easter fun began with an egg hunt and lunch with our playgroup!  We had so much fun with our friends!  Let's be honest...playgroups are just as much for the mommies ;-)  Though...it is so weird that Evan doesnt go with me to all these things anymore.  I know he is getting older and having a great time at school but it is so strange that he missed it...guess because my whole daily schedule for 2 years was all around his playgroup schedule.  He was pretty bummed once he found out he missed a party...but Ainsley was SO sweet to share her eggs with him.

Anyways...the weather was GORGEOUS-perfect day to hunt eggs in the park!
