a Big B-Day, a Suprise, a party, and a Super Fun Monday!!!!

End of last week and this weekend was so much fun!!!!  Christian turned 30 and we had lots of fun surprises and things planned for his big day :) 

It started Thursday...the kids and I decorated the house :)  That afternoon, Christian was having something put on his truck and we picked him up to bring him home.  Evan told him "Time for your party Daddy!"  I think Christian may have expected a suprise party!  The surprise came the next day!

After picking him up, we had to stop by the store to pick up a few things...Evan bought himself an icee!  Does Arizona have 7-Eleven?!  Yum!

And after we both BARELY slept with all the anticipation... the big day was here!

I told Christian he had to be ready by 9.  He then figured out someone was coming over, I had a ton of food...and of course making him be ready an hour and half before our ultrasound.  He was guessing like CRAZY!  Actually guesses his mom at one point but never either sister :) SO....when there was a tiny knock at the door and Miss Marley was standing there...HE WAS SHOCKED!!!!

We all ate breakfast, the kids played...then headed over to the appointment.

I was SOOOOOO nervous this time around.  And in the car it was weird...we were talking about how this will be our LAST ultrasound appointment!  We made our final guesses...Christian always thought it was a girl...and I constantly went back and forth!

Side Note:  On Tuesday at the doctor Evan really wanted to see his "baby brother" so the doctor did a quick ultrasound.  She did in between the legs and I saw the "lines" but, she said the legs were so close together, she didnt see anything and was hard to tell.  So, I just assumed I wasnt seeing right.  HAHA.  Now I know she didnt want to break it to Evan!  I told her yesterday when I saw her and she totally knew. :) 

Anyways, so in the ultrasound room, they freezed in between in legs and I shouted boy and everyone else said girl...I saw the cord.  I think it is now beginning to sink in that I am going to have two little girls!  Evan was so wanting a brother but took the news VERY well :)  Though does say his next sister is going to be the nice one.  OOHHHHH goodness!  I never had a sister and ALWAYS wanted one so, very excited that my girls will have eachother.

After the ultrasound, we went to a birthday lunch for Christian!!!  Thank you Bethany and Brett!

Somebody was a little wound up in the car on the way home!  Which was alot better than her normal screaming fit!

After our Saturday morning bagel shop run...Chris wanted to look at a few things at Target.  Ainsley found something too.  She always picks up these little baby dolls..well once I discovered some of them said Little Brother and Little Sister...I let her get one!  HAHA.  She was so excited! 

That afternoon we had a birthday party to go to at Peter Piper...

Saturday we had a fun movie night :)  Then Sunday, MJ and my mom came down.

On Monday, we headed over to Brett's Aunt and Uncle's house to have some fun!  They live out in Tanque Verde, so Tucson area, but on the east side.

They had lots of fun things for everyone to do!

Evan LOVED swimming!  AND hadn't forgotten anything from last summer...was swimming all over the place!  WOOHOO!  I was nervous with my having a pool this summer he would not be as aquatic :)

And who doesn't love a movie room?!  It was staduim seating full of recliners.  The family has 5 teenagers and I am thinking this house must be the hang out place!!!  Asked Christian if our next house can have one of these!  LOL.

We had a fun day!  The kids played sooo hard and loved seeing their cousin Marley!  I can't believe I dont have more pictures!!!  But we were all just having such a great time visiting...I didn't really think about it much!  The kids didnt get to bed until 11pm and were exhausted all day yesterday!  Such a fun time!

No more naps for Mommy!

We knew it was coming! Over the last few weeks naps for Evan have been done and now it seems...officially over! No more naps for mommy! Ah!

Where does the time go?!

This weekend, Christian and I celebrated our 5th anniversary!  Where does time go?!  Seems like JUST yesterday we got married!  That being said...we have done ALOT in this 5 years!  I remember on our honeymoon talking about where and what we would be doing in 5 years and it seeming so far away :)   We had always talked about a big second honeymoon at 5 years...but wow does it creep up on you!  Especially with 2 kids and one on the way!!!! :-0  

We talked this weekend about where we will be in 5 years from now and seeing how many things that can happen in 5 years...neither of us really had many guesses except that we would be together :)

And...will take that 2nd honeymoon :)

This weekend we did get some quality time together!  My mom and Todd came down from PHX to watch the kids and sent us to a resort here!  We had a great time swimming, relaxing, going out to dinner, and just having some down time together!  At times...we didn't know what to do with ourselves!  THANK YOU MIMS AND TODD SO MUCH!  WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

And...this weekend will also be great because...Christian turns the BIG 3-0!!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend FUN!

Ok, so these first few are from our Phoenix trip last weekend.  Of which I had NO memory card.  Thank goodness my little camera has some interal memory for forgetful mommies!  On Saturday we celebrated TT's birthday at Pump It Up!  What a fun place!  That's where Evan has decided his Cars 2 Birthday will be :)  Funny boy!  He is soooo into Cars!  And I am wondering with Planes coming out this summer...if he will really get into that?!

So, on to this weekend!  We were SO busy!  Which is good because I needed a little distraction.  Got a call Friday that my grandmother is in the final stage of Alzimers (sp?) and was taken off all meds.  She hasnt eaten in over 3 weeks and not doing well :(  She has been quite a fighter these last couple of years.  So, I have been feeling some sadness...so it was a perfect weekend for an extra day with Daddy home.  Today, she has been given just a few days.  :(

Saturday, we got up first time and headed to the farmer's market!  Its every Saturday here and this Saturday was such a nice morning! 

Then, after the kids nap, Evan wanted to go golfing so we headed to the park.

Then Sunday, we had passes to the Waterpark so headed up there when they opened!  Its small but we had a great time just hanging out together.

And what would a day out be without some snacks!  Pretzels and Cheese for Ainsley and Christian!

And yesterday, we were invited over to a mom from our playgroup and her husband's house to have a BBQ with her family!  We had so much fun!  Their backyard is AAAAAAAMAZING!  Pool, zip line, basketball court, a desert tortoise, a Great view...and tons of fun toys!!!!  There was so much to do...we didnt even get a chance to go swimming!!!!!  We are going back today :)

Evan loved getting to sit with the big kids at the table!  THey were all SOOOOOO silly!  And we just let them!  They were happy and having a great time!  That's the benefit of a kids table :)  haha

Evan had lots of fun with Brendan!  He is 5 but him and Evan have LOTS of the same interests!  They both LOVE building things!  Brendan is very into legos, trio blocks, and making robots...Evan had so much fun hanging out with him!

We had such a nice day and before we knew it...it was 8:30 and the kids were starting to get a little cranky!!!!  What a great day to spend the day!!!  The kids had a blast together and the parents got to hang out and have some great conversation!!!

Today, we had a potluck lunch with the playgroup at a park!  Everyone wore red, white, and blue :)  It was cute!

Pregnancy update: I will be 17 weeks later this week!  I start my shots this week too. WHich are stinky but I will be maybe feeling some relieft when they start.  Last couple of days, I have had some pressure and pain.  I have talked to quite a few moms of 3 and they said 3rd time around, they were definetly in more pain than other pregnancies.  Trying to take it easy but my nesting has kicked in and I have so many organization projects I need to get done!
