croop!

On Monday, afterschool, Evan was running a fever and had developed a cough. He was struggling so much to catch his breath that he was vomiting, crying, and REALLY wheezy. I rushed him immediately to urgent care where he received a breathing treatment and a chest x ray. It was negative for pneumonia but he does have croop! Well...after about 3 hours there we came home where our little guy was PRETTY wound up after the breathing treatment. Chris worked from home Tuesday and my mom stayed home with him Wednesday. Fever free and doing SO much better we took him back to school today. Well...I received a call at about 11 that he was getting his diaper changed and his lips, limbs, nails, EVERYTHING turned PURPLE/BLUE! I was freaking out and so was his teachers. He was rushed to the nurse and there is color began to come back. He wasn't choking and didn't have anything visible in his throat. I called his pediatrician and they wanted to see him right away. We set an appt for right after school and said if it happens again...emergency room. Well...at 2:30...it happened AGAIN! We took him to doctor and he thinks it is a shifting mocus plug in his throat which will naturally cure itself OR something that Evan has swallowed (a toy) lodged in his esophagus!!!!! If so, it will have to be surgically removed. We were then routed to get another xray. Though this one a little more in depth. He had to be strapped in a tube :( We find out the results hopefully tomorrow and I am sure HOPING AND PRAYING it is just mucus!

My poor baby just hasn't been himself this week! And...has lost OVER 2 pounds in ONE WEEK because he doesn't want to eat!
