Evan is going to have a...LITTLE SISTER!!!!

For those of you who guessed right...WAY TO GO! Little Lindberg #2 is definitely a little girl! We are all so excited! The ultrasound looked great...very healthy and due date is on schedule! All during the ultrasound, Evan kept saying "baby baby baby!"...Sorry for the horrible scanning of pics!

Here are some of the pics we got:

Big Brother is undecided...

The last couple of days we have been asking Evan, "Do you think the baby is a boy or a girl?" I have quite a few videos of this and each one he says something different! Too funny! Enjoy!

Sorry the videos look a little funky...my flip is on the fritz! But, just thought these were too cute!

A Funny Story

Sorry this is a no pic post, but just a funny story.

So this morning, Christian made us french toast for breakfast. Evan loves french toast! Well...one minute he had a plate full of food and the next minute he had NOTHING. He fed it to the puppies! I asked him, "Evan, where did your breakfast go?" He said and waved his finger, "BAD PUPPY!", we said "Don't blame it on the puppies, you fed it to them" (there is NO way they climbed up on the high chair!). So we wiped his hands and put him in time out. The entire time I was cleaning his hands and he was in timeout he kept screaming "BAD PUPPY BAD PUPPY". The dogs just looked at us so pitifully, like "what did we do?" Even after his 1 minute time out was over, we ran over to them waving that finger shouting "BAD PUPPY!" It was so funny and we were trying so hard not to laugh.

So either, we continually blame the dogs for things they didn't do and so Evan has picked up on that trait or SOMEONE didn't want to take responsibility.

Per LOTS of requests...

A Belly pic! 17 weeks and 2 days!
I wanted to post a pic from when I was pregnant with Evan at this same week but, I didn't have one that SOON! I found one from like 12 or 13 weeks (so pretty much nothing) and then one from 20 but my belly now looks bigger. I guess what they say about growing faster with the second is true!

Feeling the baby move like CRAZY! I just love the feeling and the minute it started happening, just brought it all back from when I was pregnant with Evan. I have felt it from the outside but Christian hasn't made it over to the couch fast enough yet! :) We find out in about a week...we are so excited!

Evan is doing great! Said a few new words today...stuck, blueberry, and hot dog (he REALLY loves Mickey Mouse clubhouse)
. We also had his 18 month check up the other day! He has grown 2.5 inches since he was last there...33.5 inches now and about 28 pounds.

Summer time fun!

Well...when I made the decision to be a stay at home mom...I knew I would love it and I knew it would be very rewarding to get to spend so much time with Evan and on family things...BUT, let me tell you...I really thought I would have more free time! AH! Evan is constantly on the go! From the time he wakes up until the time he naps...WE PLAY! We go for walks, play in the playroom, go swimming, and are all over the house! He is starting to pay more attention to TV, but only in like 10 min increments...usually when I can sneak in a quick mom chore but other than that, he is a CRAZY man!

So...that paragraph was pretty much going to lead up to my big excuse for abandoning our family blog...I just haven't had time! When he naps is when I clean, organize, and well...sometimes take a little snooze. But, it has been so wonderful to get that time to get all the household stuff done because Christian and I truly have our evenings and weekends duty free! IT IS AWESOME! And I love that I am able to get it done so that when he gets home from a long day at work...he can just relax and hang with Evan (even though I do ask him to do a few things...trash, bath, etc :) ).

So since returning from our vacation, we have just been hanging out in the pool and relaxing!

Alright...onto the pics! Here is Evan watching his new dancing tool set! (Thanks Grandnan!)
Breakfast at the park! Those who know ANYTHING about our summers know that 8 am in the summer is the ONLY time cool enough to enjoy the park!
Eating his fruit bar. Evan is incredibly fussy about breakfast food...fruit bars and toaster struddels are really the only thing he will take in the morning! Well...that and LOTS of fruit!
Mims joined us!
Chomping on a banana!
And...fascination with EVERYTHING Toy Story! Evan LOVES Toy Story...even though he will only watch a few minutes of it...He will see a TV (yes even at other people's house) and say "Watch Buzz". He can pick out the characters ANYWHERE! We will be in the grocery store and he will say "BUZZ!!!!!" and point...I literally have to search around and see what he has found! Bandaid boxes, bread, cakes, cookies, blankets, BUZZ IS EVERYWHERE right now! He has the BUZZ jammies but here he is in his Woody ones. When we put the Buzz ones on he looked in the mirror pointed at himself and goes "BUZZZZ!!!!" hahaha too funny!

And...still all about MOMMY! Whatever mommy has...Evan wants! Now, I have never worn all these together, but I guess he is fashion forward. hahaha

Closet hide and seek! "WHERE'S EVAN???!!!" He loves to hide!!!! and well...as sneaky as he may try to be...he is always in the same spot. Christian's part of the closet! He is thrilled when you find him!

My son is incredibly good at getting doors open and this was his latest find! He starting beating the dogs with it!!!! POOR BELLA! She just stood there and took it!

LOVES the camera! Though, when I use my SLR, there is a mini flash that goes off before I take a pic and sometimes he squints! Sitting on Bella...
A few minutes later...he actually stood ON TOP of her! POOR dog
More squinting...
Doing the HOT DOG dance...(Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
How verbal Evan is continues to impress me daily! I know moms understand everything there child is trying to ask for...I just think it is so neat how much he is talking! Such a big boy! When finding out I was pregnant, I was pretty nervous about having TWO babies but, honestly, I think it is going to be totally fine! Exhausting...but I am not as worried as I was. He does so much that we ask him to do! Will go get diapers, clothes to wear (rarely do they match, but hey...on a rough day...who cares), tell us what snacks he wants, sit at his little table to eat, bring us toys to play with, tell us when he needs a night night...he is 18 months and has changed SO much in the last couple of months!

Pregnancy update: 17 weeks...we find out next Friday what we are having! WOOHOO! I start my shots Wednesday...hope it's just a little pinch (inside joke with my mom...she always told me shots were like a little pinch). The belly is definitely growing will have to post a pic later this week!

Rhode Island, Beach House, Williamsburg, and MORE...WOW!

WOW! This summer so far has been so busy but also so fun! We just got back from a great family vacation. It started off in Rhode Island to celebrate my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. They flew our entire family to Rhode to be a part of it all! It was so special to get to be there to celebrate with them! And we had so much fun hanging with the family! The renewed their vowels in the same church they got married in 50 years ago. We then went to a reception with my pepere's 13 siblings and significant others and my memere's sister and brother! It was quite a party :)

Evan did not exactly cooperate during church service...let's just say he wanted to sing when singing time was over and when the reverend was talking...thought he needed to also...people around us thought it was SOOO cute but, he watched the rest from the lobby! :)
The 14 siblings!

The best restaurant game EVER...napkin hide and seek!

The next day was the Barrette family reunion. Well...let me tell you...WE KNOW WHERE THE RED HAIR COMES FROM! It was CRAZY!!!!!! There were 4 other red heads!!!! All within a few years of eachother (which is even CRAZIER!). We of course had to get a pic with the first one we saw (Joshua)! Everyone that saw him commented about how he got the red hair. No one from my grandparents generation has it, so it goes back pretty far and it surfacing just now!

After a wonderful weekend in Rhode Island, we headed to the Outer Banks in NC to hang out at the beach house. After a very interesting day of traveling, we finally made it. Evan had a blast chillin in the sand, swimming, and hanging out with Cousin Marley!

Has no interest in things cut in pieces...

We were supposed to return home on Saturday afternoon but due to a canceled flight, got to have an impromptu stay in Williamsburg! We took my mom down to Colonial Williamsburg and browsed the historical buildings and shops. I just couldn't resist purchasing these shirts for Evan and Marley and Grandnan couldn't resist the hats! (EVAN LOVES THIS HAT! Wears it all over the house!)

He kept grabbing the bonnet...eventually we just put it on him...I think Bethany got a pic of that!
He is such a goofball!

After a wonderful vacation, we are back and I am working on getting everything put together and organized after our trip. More pics to come maybe later today waiting for my other camera to charge!

Summer is here and new adventures begin!

It's officially summer and I am officially a STAY AT HOME MOMMY! It was very sad my last few days of teaching, I had such an AMAZING class this year but, I am THRILLED to get the opportunity to be home with Evan and little lindberg #2! That's right, January 5th, 2011 Little Lindberg #2 is expected! I have already had a few doctor's appts and things look great! VERY different with this one-once you have one that is premature prenatal care is a little different.

Starting at 17 weeks, I have to get weekly pregestorne injections to prevent preterm labor. It is the only completely safe method (Tributelyne and Magnesium...YUCK) and it is effective. A home health care nurse will come to our house once a week to administer the shots and I will get them until I am 36 weeks. After that, doctor said be ready and prepared because in most cases, week 37 that baby is here. So...this time I will not be UNPREPARED! That bag will be packed the first week in December :) Other than that...baby was measuring right on track (not big like big brother). I have my next appt in a few weeks and we will get to hear the heart beat! Though I can kind of cheat on that since I have my own monitor! But I was thinking the first time might be the most fun in doc's office. I have been feeling pretty yucky with this pregnancy so I am counting down until my 13th week when all the baby books say it gets "better"...queasy about 90% of the time, only want fruit products (and about screamed at the lady at Jack n the Box when she said the milkshake machine was broken), HEARTBURN from EVERYTHING-Tums are my new favorite snack food :), very different from how I felt about Evan...I think this is going to be WILD CHILD! :)

Although things have been so crazy with finishing up work...we have definitely still had some time for FUN! We are in the pool like crazy and we have just been hanging out! Evan's most favorite things right now....swimming, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR, balls, yogurt melts, ravioli, playing on the computer, still loves SID, being outside, bossing around the puppies, dancing...I have seen the biggest changes with him recently though...he will wipe his face and nose, clean up his own toy mess (put it away), and follows directions so well! He went from like a baby to such a little person!

Happy!
ANGRY! He was carrying these around and kept stepping on them! Made him so mad!
Eating lunch with uncle!

Daddy couldn't resist the chair...
Last Friday night, we babysat Jayden! Got a little dose of what two is like :) hahaChowing down on asparagus...WILL HE EVER EAT NEATER????!!!! Doing so much better with veggies!
Few more pool pics from when some friends came over!

I have a good friend from college, Amy, who asked what kind of words he says...so right now we are hearing lots of mommy, daddy, more, please, uh-oh (purposely throws/drops things so he can say it!), puppy, bad-puppy, bye bye, hey, ball, what, bar (loves breakfast bars), that, a-me (meaning to give him something), down, NO NO, yeah....there are more but those are the main ones right now!

And some videos of our little water baby!
