Easter, SPRING, and ALL BOY!

I can't believe how fast time is flying right now! It has been so long since I have posted pics! Evan is walking, climbing, laughing, falling, running, bruising (boo-boos have begun), tumbling, and talking like CRAZY! He is all over the place! He is (as the Idol judges say...) a MILLION PERCENT BOY! Loves...dirt, trucks, trains, cars, tools, rocks, and being outside! He is such a WILD MAN!

What is it with boys and things with wheels? :)
This is his SURPRISED/EXCITED face! LOVE IT! This happens when food comes too!

I mean...he is getting a LITTLE neater...
This is what he does when I say "SAY CHEESE"

CLIMBER! Shows some of the progression...but had to stop taking pics once he was ON TOP of the table!!!!!

On Memere and Pepere's old rocking horse!
CHOO-CHOO

Trains, Trains, Trains!

But...even though he is a CRAZY guy...he has a heart of gold...also loves...cuddling, hugging, blowing kisses (and now to strangers :), and pretty much doing and having whatever mommy has! And yes...sometimes that means playing with brushes, jewelry, and "pretty things".
But...in his defense...he does use this as a hammer!
He carried this around for days after I gave it to him..."THAT!" (notice the green necklace)
Needed a bite of mommy's banana after a long drive...
His preferred way of having his milk...He loves just sitting in his truck!

He says more and more each day! Here are some new things-nods "yes" and shakes "no" to "Do you want..." questions, says mine, puppy, hi, bye, daddy, rock, car, baby, mommy, poop (gross), boom, mims (G-ma), yes, Bella, no, choo choo, food, bubbles, ball, that, bubba, and a bunch of phrases that he seems to know what he is saying...but we are just not sure! He is pretty much a parrot right now, and always tries to say what we do..it just doesn't always sound the same :)

And...Spring is here in AZ! The weather is BEAUTIFUL and for the last week...we spend most of our time outside or at the park! Evan can't WAIT for that pool to be warm enough for swimming (even though he does walk around on the baja step like its nothing while mommy is FREEZING!)

Loves sidewalk art!

This last weekend, Uncle Ron and Cousin Megan were in town and we had a blast hunting eggs and hanging out together!

These ears were a hit on Easter Eve! EVERYONE had to wear them! The dads included!

Evan's new Tonka Truck!

Can I just put my feet in???

Poor Megan!

OOOO...new tools, truck, train, and bubbles from Mimzy! AND...new Crocs, bubbles, animal cookies, SID DVD, and gift card from Grandnan!
Playing in the yard!
And yeah...and then the ears came back out! He literally kept trying to put them on himself! But...we decided the football makes it "manly"
Check out this awesome belated b-day present, Evan's new FORT! This is going on the patio, but I think he needs a little more practice first...
He was in complete hysterics!

And some from a few weeks back...

At Chuckee Cheese with his friends Jayden and Sienna from Little Gym!

HAHA...

PUPPY!

PUPPY! I mean, we have gotten "dog" seriously, how could he NOT have said this word before now! haha! In the last week, we have moved on to 2-syllable words! VERY EXCITING! Mommy (no more ma-ma), puppy, Daddy...what will be next?!

And more steps for Grandnan to see...nice outfit huh :)...it was bathtime and he was breaking in his new big boy walking shoes! Stride Rite is the best! THANKS MIMZY!

BILLIONS (not really) OF PICS TO COME!

Bubbles in the TUB!

To prepare for the upcoming swim season, we have been working with Evan on blowing bubbles in the tub! I took this video a while ago...but it's so cute! Sorry about quality...it's on my phone! He is off to a great start! He LOVES doing this every night...he will now stick his whole face in! I am wondering if he really likes having his face wet, or just enjoys us cheering for him!

Taking some steps...

You know...even though our little man is over a year old...we are still learning new things about him EVERYDAY! As you know...he has been getting over a pretty yucky ear infection. And now...he is able to walk around again which is so exciting. But, we have discovered our little fire ball does not want to walk to and from us, while being lured by toys. Most babies may want the security of their parents there as they take their first steps...but he does WAY better walking into open space :) OR to his truck, duck, down the hall, to his crib, to the couch. But the minute, Christian or I attempt to cheer him on, forget it...he is NOT walking. So stubborn :)

Here is a clip from tonight, have more on our other camera...but this one took forever! Not the best filming job and really short, but shows his walking around...He was all over today! He will also just freeze in a stand and look around before he keeps going and of course...sometimes he falls!

A FIRST and the big race :)

On Sunday, Christian and I took Evan to get his haircut. As most of you know...it is quite curly and well, it was beginning to look a little girly :) He got it cut like a pro! Just sat real still and everything! Trust me...that didn't happen when we tried to cut it! Anyways...it was a great first haircut...minus ME bawling my eyes out!

Doesn't he look just like daddy?

"What happens at Mim's stays at Mim's"

Yesterday, after Evan's doc appt (everything is fine, just a recheck for his ear), we met our friends Ginger and Addison at the park for a mom's group playdate! It was a "Race in the Park" playdate. All the kids brought push toys, ride ons, big wheels, bikes and the coordinator set up a start and finish line...it was so cute! Of course, Evan practiced like crazy when we got there and was a little pooped by race time. Honestly, I am not sure if he was pooped OR just gave up because he saw the other kids pass him!

Practicing...

RACE TIME!

Even if they were last...we still made them finish!!!!

Kids...they always want what's not theirs! SOOO serious on this pink quad!

Despite what the face may say...THIS WAS NOT MY IDEA!
THANKS GINGER for inviting us on such a fun playdate!

AND...our baby is getting his balance back! This morning he walked across the living room! YEA!
