Just a little dip...

Well it is getting pretty HOT out here in AZ! About 100 today!!! Soooo...being the retired swimmers we are have been so excited about getting Evan into a pool!!!! Well, we found this little baby pool at Target for about 5 dollars and couldn't resist! We filled it and left it in the sun for over 2 hours so it could get really warm! HE LOVED IT!!! Pretty relaxed...a true natural :) Though, honestly, he probably thought it was a bath!

This boy is TOO much FUN!!!!

Evan is so much fun to have in our lives!!! Honestly, I can't remember what life was life without him (we probably got more sleep...haha!)!!! Our little guy's personality is really starting to bloom! He is showing to be quite high strung and really knows what he wants! He is starting to do so much also! Evan is very vocal and is awake much more! He also already has a favorite book..."8 Silly Monkeys". When Christian and I read it to him he smiles the whole time! :) He is holding his head up really good and when put on his stomach can move himself around like crazy! When we put him to bed at night, he starts off parallel to the crib and ends up perpendicular! During tummy time the legs more like crazy...before we know it...he will be crawling :( time is just flying! He is growing like a weed, now wearing size 2 diapers and some 6 months clothing...the outfit below is 6 months...daddy picked it out for him!

Lately, everytime we hold Evan he wants to stand up and bounce...so we thought maybe we should put together his horsie, so he could bounce away!!! Yet, when we put him in it, he had trouble reaching the floor!!! YIKES!!!! So, we had to put a board game under him...and chose SORRY! He was only in about 5 minutes (he is still little) and then he crashed!!!! Wore himself out...enjoy video below!

Our friends Erin and Justin sent Evan some Virginia Tech stuff!!!! This bib and an adorable T-Shirt! The shoes my mom gave him!!! TOO CUTE!!!! Of course, Dad was wearing his Tech gear too! Both of them were DONE taking pics!!!! :) I tried to get him to smile and it was NOT happening...these are not tears mind you...he was talking!

baby einstein & easter

We had a great weekend! Though, of course it went too fast :( On saturday morning, we put together his Baby Einstein play gym that Grandnan sent him! HE LOVED IT!!!! He loved the lights and sounds but especially liked Octopus Man!!!! It was hilarious! He was just laying there looking up at him and giggling...see pic...

Easter Sunday we went over to my Aunt's house for lunch! It was fun because the whole fam was there! They did an egg hunt (crazy that Evan will be doing that next year) and then we had a big meal! It was a good time! Later, we stopped by our friends Clint and Melissa's house. We rode dirt bikes and quads and had some REALLY good dessert! Melissa is always baking fun desserts!!! Yes, there are pics of me riding the dirt bike...but I don't think we will be posting any of those. Me and Christian can't wait until little Evan wants those toys!!! And seeing Austin and Cody having such fun together, showed me that Evan will probably need a brother to play with!!!

HAPPY EASTER!

Today, my friend Lindsay and I had a fun little photosession with Evan! He had a little bit of a rough day today...so of course the one time I got a big smile...I wasn't ready with the camera! But either way...got some fun ones!!!!

He really enjoyed playing in the grass! We just let him have some crazy time for a bit...it was ALL over him! I think at one point he tried to eat it!
Also, when we had him laying on a pillow...he kept trying to push himself on his side and eventually went TIMBER and rolled over! Here is the picture of the aftermath...it scared him!!!! Sooo sad :( but cute too!

I have been such a bad blogger this week because Evan and I have been locked up in my bedroom while our tile gets fixed! It has been crazy! But, it did give me some time to take some fun pics and video!

Please excuse all the pj pics...but, he is a morning person and that is when I can usually get the best smiles and also...we have been literally sitting on my bed for 2 days straight, so no need to get fancy :)

Doing some tummy time...though since he is a belly sleeper, this sometimes doesn't go so great...but he is doing very well with head control...will have to post some video later. He also likes to head butt, I think I am going to have a fat lip!
We have noticed that he can flip his tongue from side to side!

Tis the season for taxes! Sorry buddy, no deduction this year...missed that deadline by 23 days!

Poor guy....

Yesterday, I noticed some yucky yellow stuff coming out of Evan's ear...I took him to the doctor right away and he has an ear infection :( He is a little fussy and you can tell it hurts him when that ear is touched...I feel so bad for him.

On a positive note...he has DOUBLED his size since birth and weighed 12 pounds yesterday!
