Week with Grandnan, Shower, Tricyle, Big Boy Room, playdate...WOW!

Yes, I know...I haven't updated for a couple of weeks! But get ready for a SUPER monster post!

The weekend Grandad was here we had a great time! We went to the Phoenix Children's Museum (one of Evan's favorite places) and are now members there! WOOHOO!!! We also went shopping and picked out Evan's Halloween costume and new big boy bed set! Can anyone guess what the set might be? Did you guess CHOO CHOOS? Because you are right!

Then Grandad had to leave :( (Evan cried at the airport) and Grandnan (Evan says "Mimi") stayed for another week! We got Evan's pics taken (family check your mail this week) and had a great time hanging out! PLUS...I got to eat lunch at all the different places I seem to crave...Chipotle, Paradise Bakery, Chickfila...it was awesome!!!! We had so much fun!!!

Last Saturday, Nancy threw me a wonderful baby shower! PINK PINK PINK!!! I am so excited to have one of each and since I LOVE pink...it made it even MORE exciting :) Every detail was perfect...she knows how to throw a GREAT party!!! And on Friday afternoon...some special boxes arrived...

GEORGETOWN CUPCAKES! I love the show DC Cupcakes and since she knew that, ordered them for the shower! They were so good and such a special surprise!!!!

The house was beautifully decorated and we played some fun games! Baby food tasting (Way to go Mom and Aunt Nancy), the never say baby bead game (GO Michelle R.!), Belly size guessing (YAY Yanez), Baby Bottle Jelly Belly Guessing (WOO HOO Michelle F!), and My Water Broke (WOW Steffany!)! And the food....YUMMMMM....really should have taken some pics! Best part...we got all the leftovers...LOL :)

B.G. (baby girl...who does have a name you just have to finish the post) received some ADORABLE gifts! This girl is going to be well dressed from head to toe!!!! She got the cutest bows, flowers, clips, outfits, socks, booties....so excited to play dress up! And now that I have everything for her nursery...time for some decorating!!!

And Friday night was Evan's first night in his big boy bed! He stayed in all night! I was shocked...never thought it would be this easy! Here are some pics of the room...we had originally planned to give his sister all the nursery furniture. BUT, when we went to move it he was totally freaking out! Like he was losing his stuff. So we STOPPED and came up with a plan B. He is keeping his dressers and cubbies and she is getting a new dresser and cubbies! Anyways...here are the pics! We have a few things we are switching out...some choo choo themed stuff and updated pics of him...

AND...yesterday we hosted a playdoah playdate for some of his friends from the Little Gym/Mom's Group! But honestly, they were WAY more interested in bubbles, the slide, and the swing!

Ainsley came up on a baby name site under "if you like Evan you might like..." and Elizabeth is named after her Godmother and Aunt Sarah Elizabeth :)

3D Ultrasound Pics!

Today we had our 3D ultrasound of BeeGee (Baby Girl) as she is now called by the family! LOL. IT WAS SO COOL!!!!! And I am so happy that Grandnan, Grandad, my grandmother, and mom were all there to see it! It was so fun!

So...we saw her feet (they were crossed, it was so cute!), her hands (which she kept putting up her fingers one by one as if she was counting), her eyes (open and closed), HAIR (tech says she def has hair...SO THIS EXPLAINS THE HEARTBURN...we will see if she is right when she is born), and of course her FACE! And...most importantly confirmation that this is indeed a GIRL :) Also, the tech quickly measured her and said she is 2 pounds and 5 oz!

She made lots of expressions during the ultrasound: a smile, frown, mouth open, sucked her thumb, and hid her face with her hands! Let me tell you...it was pretty tricky to get her to uncover her face and it was making me kind of nervous in the beginning that we may not get to see her!

So...I compared Evan and her 3D pics and here is my conclusion...DEFINITELY related:) Same eyes, cheeks, and mouth. BUT, different nose and chin. Feel free to look at Evan's 3D pics and make your own comparisons!

Also, I have added a new poll at the top. What color of hair do you think she will have when she is born? I totally said Evan would be red and he was! So this time Christian thinks she will have red and I think she will have brown hair. The house is divided! So...what do you think?
